The Importance of the Great Commission

I first read this book in 2023.

Important and quick testimony:

I was in Springfield, MO - one of my friends was reading through this book. He wanted to see Victor’s and Ruth’s gravestones. I didn’t know anything about these two, but I could tell my friend really cared about this. We were in a rush to find the stones, for a dinner plan with other friends. I prayed “God, my friend here would really like to see this, could you reveal it to one of us?”. God answered immediately as I nearly stumbled onto Victor’s.
My friend was ecstatic, “This was the guy,” he said! He urged me to try getting a copy of the book “High Adventure in Tibet”.
I found it on Amazon, but at the time it was $80. It was for sure out of my budget. So, I decided against buying it.

Later that week, my friends and I were touring AG HQ. Near the end of the tour, we were curious about the Archives, and there the tour guide showed us all the books affiliated with AG.
I made a joke, “Oh, so you must have ‘High Adventure in Tibet?” As I said this, I pointed randomly at the big shelf of books, and right in front of where I pointed, my finger nearly touching, was what I just asked about.

I was shocked. I mean, it’s obvious that the AG would have a copy or two, but of all the hundred of books on these shelves, I providentially pointed at the actual book.

My friend noticed this at the same time I did and I said, “Well, I guess God is telling me to buy this book!”
My tour guide, hearing me, replied “I have a copy of this book - you can have it!”

God works in mysterious ways for sure, but I’m grateful for what He has shown me in reading through Victor’s journey. I read it in one sitting - no joke! Many prayers were answered about what God has equipped me with for the rest of my life.

I am grateful to hear David reading through this for my second time going through this book - with his addition of notes and thoughts.

I’m grateful to God for where he has sent me, and I pray that I continue on this journey with a reminder that God is ever present and with me - all of us.

And I pray to be as bold as Victor with his love and trust in Jesus!


Also, as a single guy, I pray that God will humble me with a “No Regret’s” Ruth. 😂
