Wonderful Storyline & Narration

I always enjoy the narrative talent of Susan Boyce. The storyline of Mose and Sylvia was particularly moving.

Such wholesome stories.

Love the story line, love getting to know all of the characters. Hope there is a follow up story from Promise Lodge.

Welcome back old friends,

This was released 6 days ago. It’s the 7th book of the series. It starts with 2 girls who had fond memories of summer camp on the Promise Lodge site; they returned pretending to be Amish, wanting to live the Amish life and relive their old memories. The imposters were soon discovered, but played an important role after a damaging hurricane. Two older couples find love as they work through their pasts and face the uncertainties of new beginnings. This story felt a little uneven in the beginning, then settled into the beloved community with our old friends. I feel like the imposters should have reappeared at the end to give better continuity. It was a lovely book, and I was sad to see the series end…for now.

Charlotte Hubbard and Susan Boyce done it again !

Charlotte Hubbard’s books are always a joy to read. Her characters are like dear old friends that we can’t wait to catch up with. It is so refreshing to hear the word of God and prayer Expressed in the every day lives of the characters. I hope she never stops writing . I can’t wait for the next book !

Hidden Away at Promise Lodge

The lengthy parts about UNDERWEAR should have been LEFT OUT of this enjoyable book. I would be embarrassed if my children heard that section. Is was as if someone else threw it in. The book stands to be great WITHOUT the underwear parts.
