This was an exciting read with a lot of heart

Everything about this book, I love the narrator. I loved how the author pasted the book. I loved her character development by the end of the book. You really cared about what happened to the characters

Captivating Story

The author goes to great lengths to create a fantasy world with a crisis in the future and provides a savior in the form of twins that grow to realize their potential both individually and as a team. The maturing process is fun to watch as the power of the twins grows and they realize they can be the hero their destiny says they should be.

The narrator does an excellent job in portraying the various characters and provides a rythem to the book that is very entertaining. Job well done.

I very much look forward to the next book.

A shining example of world building.

First off, the story of the two brothers is captivating and exciting with great pacing and dialogue. You feel the emotions of the characters and the passion of the author.

The world building though, that’s on another level. I’m a fan of many high fantasy novels. I’ve listened to authors such as Brandon Sanderson, Michael J. Sullivan, and of course Tolkien. B.L. Mostyn’s world building is on their level. She seamlessly blends the story with the new world you find yourself immersed in. I distinctly remember thinking what one of the eight races looked like, wishing I knew, when she casually added in their description many chapters later.

Finally, the narrator did an excellent job of giving distinct voices to all of the characters to the point I didn’t even need to hear the name of the speaker.

My only small criticism is that after a few the chapter numbers and title the narrator (or editor) didn’t give enough of a pause so I was caught off guard by the beginning sentences.

I cannot wait for the Guardian Series to come out. This is definitely an author I’ll be following.
