Best audiobook I’ve listened to in awhile!

This historical romance had more substance to its plot than any other I’ve listened to. It forces a binge listen and you will not be disappointed. The romance aspect is quite hot and steamy as well and in different ways than your typical regency novel. The main characters were strong and enjoyable, opposites yet enough alike to make them fit in a believable way. Percy isn’t some flighty miss that you’d like to slap, but someone you’d like to befriend if she were real; and oh my...Gavin...(sigh...)

A Different Spin on the Sweet Girl meets Bad Boy

Enjoyed the premise. Great 2nd book in the series. By now, if you are listening in Audible, you know Erin Mallon has some serious issues with mispronunciations and her Scottish sounds Irish. Still worth a listen. But only on Audible Escape. Don’t use a credit.

Love this unlikely couple!

Gavin and Percy come from two different worlds, but they fit perfectly together. I really enjoyed watching their story unfold and getting the opportunity to find out more about Nicholas Morgan as well. I love how Grace Calloway entwines these stories together with unforgettable characters that you really wish were your neighbors. The narration is excellent as well. If you’re on the fence about this one, and you like steamy romance, go for it. You won’t be sorry.

Magnificent heroine and dashing gallant hero

It's been a while since I wrote a review but Percy stole my heart from moment #1 and so did Gavin! Loved every moment of their adventure!

It made laugh and cry. When Hugh Steward died so sad!!

Very Good sensual and romantic well written story!! With great characters.

Enjoyable

This was so much better than the first book in the series. Granted, the sex scenes are more graphic and crude than most other regencies I've read but the story was much better. I had many issues with narration, however. Pronunciation. For instance, The "O" in "Covent" (Garden) was pronounced like Covert; "Ton" being pronounced like "tun". I can't remember the other words right now (meant to write them down) but I found it very distracting.

I'm glad I read this second book. The characters were likable and the story was good. I'm glad there are more in this series.

Fantastic Story, Loved it!!

What a great story. Loved the plot, the H&H, the hot and steamy sex. If you read the first book in this series, Her Husbands Harlot, you know there is a lot of sex in that book. This book was a lot tamer. I totally loved Percy she was funny, strong, witty and had spunk for days. Gavin was just awesome, loved his back story and they way the author brought book 1 and 2 together.

Narration I give 3.5 stars. And I had to listen to it on 1.25 speed otherwise it was to slow.
Credit Worthy? Yes Yes and Yes!

Great story, but the narrator fell short

I loved the whole parallel with Hades and Persephone, my favorite couple in Greek mythology. I’ve also always had a thing for stories where the heroine falls in love with the poster child for the villain.

The narrator, however, could have been better. Her voice was alright and she did well with an English accent, but after 22 years as an avid reader of Regency romance novels, some of her pronunciations made me cringe.

Passion, love, plot twists. I LOVED it!!!

I highly, highly recommend this book. Very witty and has some funny parts as well. I liked the love development between the two main characters and the passion was hot enough to make you sizzle. Now I cannot get into the book I just started by a different author ☺. Can’t say enough good things about this book.
