My brother? He’s dead. My first love? Dead.

I am alone. Until I’m not.

My first love, he had three brothers, and for some reason they are hellbent on not leaving me alone. No matter where I go or what I do, there they are. Always watching in the shadows, waiting for something to happen, but what?

I try my best to steer clear of them, but in doing so I stumble across a mystery. It’s one that I must solve, even if it means putting myself in danger, even if it means getting the help of the three brothers I should most decidedly avoid.

Even if it means realizing nothing is as it seems.

Join Sunday as she navigates the waters of grief, the devastation of first love, and the possibility of a truth so painful she might just wish she could forget it all.

This is a why choose, Sunday will end up with multiple men. And I want to make this abundantly clear, nothing is at it seems.

This story may begin with a slow, somber tone, but every moment is deliberate—and every heavy theme is handled with depth and care. Definitely check the trigger warnings before diving in, but once you start, be prepared to lose yourself completely.

From the very first chapter, I was hooked. I thought I understood where the plot was heading, yet the journey felt like riding a roller-coaster blindfolded. Each twist, each reveal, each emotional hit left me reeling. By the end, I felt upside down, queasy, and absolutely unwilling to leave this world behind. Thank goodness there’s another book coming.

We follow Sunday alongside the 3 O’Brien brothers—each distinct, each compelling, each hiding secrets that bind them together through grief, tension, and a series of reckless choices. The slow-burn paranormal edge adds even more depth to an already rich, dark narrative.

But what truly elevates this experience is the audio narrator. She doesn’t just read the story—she breathes life into it. Every emotion, every moment of tension, every whispered secret feels amplified and visceral. Ava Monroe captures the personalities of each character with incredible nuance, turning an already gripping novel into an unforgettable audio experience.

If you love dark, atmospheric slow burns with emotional depth—and you enjoy audiobooks that fully immerse you—this one is an absolute must. Five stars, easily.

I wasn’t sure how I’d like this book but holy cow! There’s a mystery that Sunday is trying to figure out that surrounds her brother and her lover’s deaths. As she goes through this new life of living with her dead lover’s three brothers, she starts to fall for each one in different ways. But that ending… I did not see coming!!

I have the pleasure of being a part of the Dana Morris / Ava Monroe Listener Team. This was the 1st book I was able to listen to as part of the team and I have to say I was really impressed with the narration, the character pivots, the nuance brought to each voice. The only critique I have with the narration is with the pronunciation of "across" sounding like "acrosst" reminding me a bit of my older Italian-American relatives and their pronunciation of the word rather than the youthful character that Monroe was portraying.

I found myself so drawn to the storyline and wanting to know more. I was curious to see how much more supernatural the storyline would get and what connections would rise to the top between the brothers. I also had so many theories swirling throughout the book and that's usually a good sign that I'm invested! I look forward to book 2

The narrator really brings this book to life. The suspense had me on edge and questioning who I could trust and what was going on. That cliffhanger though. I need to know what happens next.

Great narrator

This is the first book for me by this author. From the first chapter, I was hooked, no slow burn, no warm-up, just immediate tension. And a main character who feels so raw and real you can’t help rooting for her, even when she’s making choices that had me yelling internally.

Relleanne’s writing is effortlessly immersive. The atmosphere is dark without being heavy, the pacing is razor-sharp and the emotional undercurrents caught me off guard in the best way. I kept thinking I knew where the story was going… and then it would shift just enough to keep me on my toes.

And that ending? Perfectly executed, just the right mix of shock and inevitability that makes you sit back and rethink everything. If you love thrillers with character depth, tension that builds like a storm, and twists that actually make sense, do yourself a favor and pick this one up. I’m still thinking about it.
