Resumen del Editor

Joining us at Audible Studios is Henry Marsh, retired neurosurgeon and award-winning writer.

Author of Do No Harm and a memoir titled Admissions, both of which became Sunday Times best sellers, Marsh has documented his career as a neurosurgeon. He spent two decades as senior consultant at St George’s hospital in London, one of the countries largest specialist units for neurosurgery, as well as travelling to Ukraine, Nepal and the United States of America to perform surgeries. Since retiring from full-time work at the NHS, Marsh has been undergoing treatment after receiving a diagnosis of advanced prostate cancer.

We chatted with Henry Marsh about his transition from doctor to patient, his views on assisted dying, what his garage full of timber means to him, and his latest book, And Finally, which documents it all.

Told like it is

Henry Marsh's book Do No Harm shifted my understanding of what my mother's neuro-surgery entailed. His work elevates the detached, scientific detail onto a literary adventure. Since that first reading, I have always been drawn to his no nonsense, candid assessments of life from his POV. This interview is no less candid in his prognosis of his own medical condition, and life choices.
