Not bad - but not her best

I do love to hear Victor Slezak read Sandra Brown books so it was a fine way to spend a rainy afternoon. It is not in the same league with many of her other books though.

One of Brown's best. was guessing until the end. highly suggest this one. great characters.

Sandra Brown rocks another one.

Exceptional listen. Loved it. Has all the usual twist and turns. Suspenseful. I hate when one of her books ends you get so involved with the characters you miss then . Narrator was good easy to follow and to listen to.

A+ development of characters thoughout the book

Victor Slezak is perfect for Brown's books- excellent at all the voices & their point of views.

Brown is excellent at tapping various characters as potentials for solving the mystery of who 'Valentino' is.
She interweaves the book's love story and the main character's past beautifully - using plot incidents to provide one more bit of information. Although this is a very far-fetched plot, all of her characters are believable, which had me sympathizing with some of the 'bad guys'.

Who done it?

Liked the choices of culprits. Good story line involving various situations and age related lines.

Perfect Sandra Brown Story.

Easy listening. Great blend of romance, mystery and drama. It is definitely worth the read.

Darkness throughout

The reader was excellent. But the story was depressing - negligent parents, spoiled children, drugs, sex clubs for teens and some adults , including police. Add to that a serial killer whose sordid routines are sickening.

I used the "chapter skip" feature, ending up listening to only one third of the book. Sandra Brown is a good writer, but not here.

If you enjoy this book, review it and tell us why. Maybe there were enough enlightening moments throughout that makes for good listening.

But otherwise readers - skip this ugly turkey. You won't' regret doing so.

It was good

Doubt I'd read it again but it was nice easy read that I imagined as a Lifetime movie. Much better than these new trends of writers more concerned with the "gotcha" than actually telling a good story.

Had my attention beginning to end. Plot twisted so the suspense was great. Must have!

Another great Sandra Brown thriller... complete with unseen twists, great romance, and the best narration for her books in Victor Slezak, I’m a complete fan! Any of her books is an automatic purchase... every book is better than the last...
