A thirty-year-old mother with four small children – the youngest barely three months old – learns she has a rare and aggressive cancer that threatens to alter her family forever. She is diagnosed with stage four non-Hodgkin’s T-cell lymphoma, that has metastasized throughout her body. Scans reveal over twenty tumors, scattered in her chest, spine, pelvis, lymph nodes and liver. Initially she is given a 40% chance of survival. After three months of brutal, high-dose chemotherapy her odds of living are reduced to only 20% if chemotherapy has put her into remission. Then she and her husband are given the devastating news: she is not in remission.
