Enduring faith in the God of the Word brings glory to God, no matter if the outcome is what we had hoped for or not. You know there are those who look at faith as a kind of currency. Believe and receive is a popular concept today among many, who view faith as their penny to put into God’s gumball machine. All they have to do to claim the prize, is to use their penny of faith and turn the handle by confessing their sincerity. That is not Biblical enduring faith. Biblical enduring faith waits patiently when life’s circumstances don’t match up to expectations, and looks to a future hope that is promised, when it seems like the furthest thing from reality. Is that your faith? Maybe it should be. When you think of this Hebrew audience, this letter seems to address many areas in which they may have been weak in responding by faith. Maybe some of these will speak to your situation and your weak response of faith. Won't you take up this study of enduring faith and ask God to strengthen your responses to Him where they are weak?
