I love a good redemption story and Booker really redeems himself in this story. Kat and Cooper are great too.

Yet again, I dislike the narration. The MMC's voice is not masculine.

Booker has come from LA to Ferndale for only a short time, long enough to renovate his parents' home and fix up the garden. Life has been tough and his outward responses make him look self-centered, but as the story progresses he evolves and shows himself to be different - more thoughtful - than we think. Once in Ferndale, he meets and hires Catherine, a single mom who is trying to grow her landscaping business. It's instant attraction between the two, muted by the antagonism between them at the beginning; we watch this change as more is revealed about Booker especially. Cat does seem to forgive him very easily every time he transgresses, but that is better than playing games. The question is, what will happen to their relationship after the house has sold? I enjoyed the writing and a couple of the surprises in the plot.
Mia Mason's narration is spot on and enhanced my enjoyment of the book. Her expression and pacing are just right.
I received an audiobook copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This story had me twisted in knots!!

Heartbreaker, an Audiobook by Logan Chance is the hopelessly romantic story of Booker and Cat. He goes home to deal with his mother’s passing. There, he meets Cat…and as their worlds collide, so do their feelings. But, has to go back home. The story between these two is not easy to read. There are difficulties and secrets that are hidden from the world. Heartbreaking when you discover it all….really, really enjoyed this audiobook!!!

This Audiobook was narrated by Mia Mason who was PERFECT!!! She performed all male and female characters and did it beautifully. She had a distinctly different ‘voice’ for each gender making it easy to distinguish while listening. Great performances!!!

I couldn’t wait for this story , seeing sneak peeks I was so intrigued and Logan surely didn’t disappoint. I’ve read every book by Logan Chance each time saying the next one is my favorite., Heartbreaker has made it to my top favorite listen this year ,words cannot express or do justice to the absolutes superb writing and flow of this story. I was left captivated from the first page until the last Logan gave us suspense , a plot twist I did not see coming , his usual Rom-Com scenes and scorching hot sexy we come to expect from him.

Booker is complex to say the least... he comes off harsh and arrogant and also swoon (especially with his Au la natural morning coffee rituals ) but underneath all that persona is a past that will grab you by the heart and not let go . This story was deep.

Cat is a down home sweetheart who works hard and loves what she does and upon their first meeting some might say fate stepped in but they did not start off on a good track while butting heads, and back and forth banter, we get to see all the layers both Booker and Cat have built up from their pasts slowly peel away one layer at a time.

Booker and Cat were two of the most strongest and heartfelt characters I’ve read in a long time and in reading this you will understand the saying “Never Judge a Book/or Person by their Cover”

I’ve been really vague with my Review for the simple reason that I do not want to give away any spoilers I feel everyone needs to experience the greatness that is written in this story.

Angsty fun

This angsty story is peppered with snark and sweetness to create the perfect “enemies (kind of) to lovers story. I adore the rock that has its own storyline and the fact that Booker accepts and is so sweet to her son even though they aren’t on the best of terms.

Enjoyable listen with great storyline and narration!
