Resumen del Editor

A psychic who connects with crime victims and a jaded FBI agent are unlikely partners as they team up to take down a serial kidnapper.

The first time they meet, they narrowly avoid a head-on collision. Julie Hatfield and Robert McCoy pray they never have to lay eyes on each other again. Not going to happen. The psychic and the FBI agent have just been named official partners in finding a missing child - the third in a string of abductions that cross state lines.

Haunted by a shattering crime in his past, McCoy is skeptical of Hatfield's special gifts - until she starts reliving the crime through the eyes of the eight-year-old girl. But it's only the beginning. Because someone is targeting Hatfield... someone who knows everything about her, and not even McCoy might be able to protect the strangely compelling woman who is making him believe in love again.

Good story and pretty bad narration..

Overall, this was a really good story about a serial kidnapper/murderer, the killer always buried his victims alive then demanded ransom then left them to die of suffocation.

Then you had the meeting of Robert Hatfield and Julie McCoy, She was a physic and he hated physics, and they had to work together. And, I gotta say, the chemistry between the two was off the charts. Hatfield refused to believe anything that Julie foresaw and he would find a way to make excuses for it all. Until his niece was kidnapped and buried alive and Julie found her. Hatfield finally believed then. There wasn’t anything about police procedure or any time spent at police headquarters in the story. It was mostly Hatfield and McCoy, feuding, and then having make-up sex. But I really liked both the main characters a lot.

There were at least 4 sex scenes in this and I think that might have been a little too much in a 184 page book, in a murder/mystery, anyway. And there was no swearing to speak of.

As to the narration: Angela Starling was barely okay for me. She didn’t really sound very manly and every word she read sounded romantic, no anxiety, no excitement, no worry, no nothing. Everything talked about in the office might as well have been said in a bedroom. So, her bedroom scenes were good, what little I didn’t skim.
