Acerca de esta escucha

Aleem is a special child with fetal alcohol syndrome and possibly autism. What happens when he gets an Artificial Intelligence pooka named Harvey? Between CPS, the court custody, a police swatting, a mother on the run, and a father who is the poster child for an autistic savant being tossed into the psychiatric ward, things get interesting. Can Harvey guide Aleem through the urban jungle of government secrets, crooked cops aiding human trafficking, and all the other problems in society while staying a secret? I was asked why or the inspiration for this story. I was reading the newspaper and other items online. The original story comes and goes behind paywalls, but I did see this one the other day: https://www.texasmonthly.com/news-politics/janis-jack-removed-by-fifth-circuit/, which looks like it has a free subscription. On the same day, NPR also discussed the horrific statistics of child prostitution with children removed for 'neglect' by Child Protective Services. Then, the next news cycle was about how Artificial Intelligence will kill us all. Next came someone why there was a pooka named after a Hurricane that hit Houston. After I explained that the pooka had the name first, I wrote this, which has nothing to do with the movie of the same name. The sad thing is the CPS workers are trying to do the right thing for the kids, but things are so bad that Aleem has a real reason to fear CPS.
One of the fun things about writing is one can be a futurist and make predictions about the future. If you read my other works you find that my stuff from the 90s is not that far off. Too bad that there isn't a paying job for futurist that is begging me to work for them, or that I just cannot seem to predict lottery numbers, but in any case, I would love to hear back about what everyone things of my prediction that AI is not always the bad guy.
