harry gets grumpy

Another fantastic reading by Herr Manteuffel. His performances are nicely nuanced, and the voices are all wonderfully differentiated. Harry does spend most of this book in a bad mood, though. It's hard being 17 and a misunderstood wizard.

Magnificent

I love this book and the reading is so good it is super easy to follow even if my German leve is not that good.

Only Title That Showed Up

This book was horrible! I’ve read this story before and it was great. When I searched up the title of the English book, this was all that showed up. I thought it would be the same because it has the same digital cover as the British one. Overall the story was great but everything else was awful.

Too painful to complete

I purchased the entire Harry Potter series in German because I wanted to listen to the whole thing again, but in German. I love the story, and it was fun hearing it in German so that I could polish my language skills again in a fun way.

The first book was pretty good, but a little quirky with the voices. But I decided to buy the rest of the series. The character voice development just became more and more painful as the books went on though.

As I was listening to the books I learned that there was a different version that was read by another narrator. I thought that since I bought them all I would just be able to deal with it though.finally as I was listening to book 5, I couldn't handle it anymore. I decided to buy book 5 narrated by Rufus Beck to try that version. There was no comparison. I will not finish this book, nor the rest of this series. I'll pay extra to get the Rufus Beck version instead.

It feels like everyone is always just screaming in this book, even when they are having fairly normal conversations.
