Harry discovers that his half-sister, Emma, and her daughter are being held at the Mary Magdalen Hospital for Penitent Women and sets out to release them. Meanwhile, Ms R returns in a new guise, burning with anger and seeking revenge on her former boss, Brigadier Crisp, the head of MI6.

Good addition to the series

Overall the series has been great. Story has been thoughtfully developed & narration very good. The book, like the others, could have been more developed & thus a longer listen. The framework is there but it's missing the meat. The references to the Martin bug & others really ties the series together. Overall a very good & short listen!

Super Funny, Steampunk, Alternate Future

Harry Lampeter is back! This super humorous alternate future romp takes a satirical look at Anglican & Catholic Church politics. What if the Catholic Church used what is learned in the confessional as an international intelligence gathering operation? While #4 in a steam punk series, this book would work well as a stand alone and is not as heavily steam punk. Craig Bowles is back as the perfect Harry Lampeter narrator. 5 stars!

This was another terrific story in the series.Narration by Craig Bowles was excellent!I totally enjoyed it!

Fantastic Book!

I really enjoyed Harry Lampeter and the Unholy Alliance. Roger Ley has a way of telling a story that feels effortless but keeps you hooked the whole time. The characters are sharp, funny, and easy to root for, and the plot has just the right amount of twists to keep things interesting. It felt like catching up with an old friend who always has a wild story to tell. I’ll definitely be reading and listening to more from this author.

Mrs R at it again

I found the story interesting, but to me way to much religious involvement in this book.
I find Harry's part in this Story not as involved as he usually is. Mostly the story seemed centered around Mrs R and her screams. Narrator does a good job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.

Great addition to the Harry Lampeter Saga

Enjoyed this book in the world of Harry Lampeter. Fairly short book with lots of the charm of the steampunk world. Definitely left me wanting more and looking forward to the next book. Definitely recommend this series for some sci-fi/steampunk with lots of comedy too.

Thrilling

Harry Lampeter and the Unholy Alliance by Roger Ley is an excellent international crime mystery thriller. Craig Bowles did an incredible job with the narration and bringing the story to life. The story is entertaining, thrilling, interesting, engaging, suspenseful, witty and more. Harry Lampeter and the Unholy Alliance is the fourth book in Harry Lampeter and the Return to Steam series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. Highly recommend.

One Thousand Times YES!!!!

Harry’s back! Oh lawdy, how I’ve missed him AND those he conscripts into his satirical adventures - and this, THIS brilliant offering “Harry Lampeter and the Unholy Alliance” is pure gob smack me … oh NO he didn’t … holy $%&@ he DID … gold! Our author has been very, VERY creative in THIS one, and the result is STUNNING! There are surprises aplenty, both in character development AND plot development - none of which I saw coming!! I won’t spoil the soup by giving any away, but I will say without reservation, brace yourself, you’re in for a wildly entertaining ride - one that I would not have missed for the world! I was so engaged, SO enthralled, so completely immersed in this story! MY reality be dammed! Dinner … pffft! Let them eat take out! There was NO WAY I was stopping! The chef’s kiss … the narration was also perfect, absolutely PERFECT and on point at every juncture! “Harry Lampeter and the Unholy Alliance” is one heck of a marvelous satirical stunner - I’m still smiling from ear to ear at the thought of what I just listened to, and dear author if you’re listening, more, pretty, pretty please! This one … easily … FIVE stunning stars across all categories!!!

Best one yet

I felt this one, while keeping the charm of the others and same themes, dialed back Harry's over the top attitudes while staying true to the character
The story was good, and I really enjoyed seeing there the characters ended up at the end of this book.
If you enjoyed the first few, don't hesitate on this one.
