The kind message about compassion and sharing the world with many creatures.
Derrick Downy, Jr has written a beautiful book about his real-life relationships with the squirrels in his neighborhood. His message of compassion is timeless and much needed these days. Thank you, Derrick, for being such a gift to the squirrels and to the world!

Fantastic words for children!
Fantastic words for children! Kind, gentle and easy to follow for anyone aged zero to 100. Absolutely loved it and will share it with my two granddaughters.

A Lesson for Young and Old
After watching Derrick's fascinating and heartwarming Instagram story of rescuing his squirrel friend, Maxine's babies, I couldn't wait to purchase this delightful little book! Love the fact that it is based on a true story and the clever rhyme scheme makes is all the more charming! 🥰 I will be purchasing a second hardcopy for a special little person in my life.
