Hamburger Recipes

Although there is evidence that ground or chopped beef in the shape of a patty was eaten throughout history in various parts of the world, one origin story is that American sailors traveling to Germany brought the “Hamburg Steak” from Hamburg, Germany. It then became popular in restaurants in New York and eventually was added to a split role or bun. Soon afterward toppings and condiments were added and the hamburger was born.

Hamburgers are one of the most popular foods in America. Many American fast food restaurants, such as McDonalds and Wendys, have built entire business models around the burger. Burgers are the perfect food for summer picnics, poolside barbecues, gatherings at parties. They can be grilled, fried, stuffed or baked.

Traditionally made of ground beef, ground bison, lamb, turkey or other ground meats can be substituted.
