Acerca de esta escucha
Inspector Rafael Fabelo, a young police officer in the city of Las Palmas, faces a complex case when the body of a Portuguese man is found on Triana Beach in March 1935. Though the initial clues lead him nowhere, a second murder in the city market raises the stakes. Both crimes share the same modus operandi, and Fabelo suspects they are tied to the shadowy world of sports betting in the city's vela latina sailing competitions. Determined to catch the killer, Fabelo dives into this underground world, encountering numerous obstacles that challenge his belief in traditional police methods.
At the same time, Fabelo is deeply aware of the social and political tensions of 1930s Spain. A staunch defender of the Second Republic, his views put him at odds with his father and place him at the center of a political storm that culminates with General Franco's military coup in 1936. From that moment on, Fabelo's life is upended, forcing him to make crucial decisions that will change him forever. As he battles fascist repression, the betting case, which he thought was solved, reemerges, forcing him to confront his past once again.
