Fuzz slammed his boot hard into the front door. The door and frame exploded as wood, hinges, nails and screws ricocheted violently into the shack’s flaming interior.The night sky filled with long streaks of bright lightning and rolling thunder as Fuzz stepped through the burning shack’s fully destroyed doorway. What was once a small living area was now an inferno of fire engulfed furnishings and fully inflamed walls. Standing in a doorway leading out the back of the room quickly resembling a small hellhole was a physically firm man hurriedly reloading a double-barrel shotgun. Two spent shotgun shells rolled across the floor in front of the man.Three other dark figures were scurrying with panic in the fire-orange background behind the man.Fuzz smiled.“Bad boy, this be your day. We WGBH bounty hunters done come to do courtesy invite for you to be doing hoosegow or you be doing dying dead. We not really caring which you choose but we feel it be professional of us to do asking what you want to do rather than us deciding for you. So, uh, which you gonna do? Hoosegow, where maybe you meet lots of new friends what want to be up close and personal with you? Or you doing dying dead where maybe you enjoy an eternity with burnt crispy critters like yourself gonna be?”Another loud blast slammed a thunderous echo against the shack’s wooden walls. More tiny hot pellets ripped through Fuzz’s poncho. Fuzz surveyed the damage to his poncho.“Bad boy, you not doing very nice answering to my polite tapping on your door. You shot my poncho. Maybe you needing second or two to be doing thinking of our polite invite?”Another chunk of the shack’s roof fell somewhere in the back of the house.Fuzz scanned the ceiling above the dark figure.“Bad boy, I be just guessing but I be guessing what you not having lots of time to do your decision making. This shack gonna burn down on top of your ugly butt in a minute. So, I be thinking you need to do deciding real quick. You want hoosegow or you want dying dead?”Another blast from the shotgun drilled more hot pellets through Fuzz’s almost shredded poncho.
