Well, talk about a plot twist. okay this book was so good that i couldn't stop listening to it. i kept say one more chapter. but as you read on it just gets better and better. to be honest i can't wait for book 2 to come out. because how this book ended it sounds like its going to be so good. so the questions are who can she trust and who is the right team for her? the narrator did such a good job too.

Need book #2

This was may first book by Jesse and it was so good that I couldn't stop listening. Secrets, drama, intense, action, great plot and awesome storyline. Great narration. I really hope they'll be more audio books in this series!

Loved it

This audio book drew me in right from the get go. Loved the story line and characters. That cliff hanger at the end just makes me want to listen to the next right away!

tbh i got a little lost with this book until about 1/2 way. Im not invested yet in the love interests at all.
fmc is strong but young and naive.

war is coming between races but im not 100% on whats caused the divide? im also not 100% on what the big differences are between races and what makes them special.

this is a really surface level book with no real depth at this stage? this maybe because this is just book one or if the writing is just basic? i havnt read/listened to this authors work before.

Narration was ok, voice actor does a good job on female voice and male voices were ok.

mistake

after a mistake that gets Serena's best friend hurt she chooses to go to the academy to get out of an arranged marriage.

this was a first listen for me by Jesse and she does an amazing job story telling I love love love her choice on narrator she does an amazing job bringing the characters to life!
