Acerca de esta escucha

This book contains all information you need to know as you start your writing career. It’s based on the writer's experience as an author of not just one book but many books. As a kid who grew up where the reading culture wasn’t embraced, it took passion for reading and love of it to kick start my journey as an author. As they say, you are what you eat. If you indulge in reading, probably you would be able to write your own book in the future. Every reader is a writer stifled within himself. If you inhale words, chances are that you exhale the same.
I would feel horrible if I had to write theories in a book. It’s not in me to do such kind of a thing. So, every little detail in this book reflects a journey that I embarked on practically from a long time ago. I was a books thief as a kid. Books were mysteriously disappearing from people’s homes. I’m a product of a broken home. My father passed on when I was six years old, and my mother left her matrimonial home to her maternal home. This is where I grew up without parents since my mother went away leaving me and my brother with a guardian. I was a troubled kid and so I would nurse my pains by reading a book anytime. To escape the problems at home or when I was sent away to be a cattle herder, I would hide a book to read in the pastures— I have read books like WINDMILLS OF THE GODS by Sidney Sheldon, THE BURDENS by John Luganda, THE CONCUBINES by Elechi Amadi and AUNT Milly’s WEDDING DRESS a Harlequin romance book when I was just nine years old. In my family, I didn’t see anyone else with a passion for books apart from my uncle, whom we had shared novels in turns. I find writing to closely correlate with someone’s reading habits right from their formative years. There has to be a foundation to it— of course, I don’t expect anyone to want to write from the blues. To want to write, you must love reading. I’m not trying to insinuate that anybody wanting to tell their story must be an avid reader, no. You don’t have to read books to tell your story— and a story must be original, authentic and unique. Someone’s originality in authorship is fundamental. Everybody must be able to maintain their author voice without trying to sound like someone else.
