As the son of the late and notorious Rico the Legend, 24-year-old Retro is left as the rightful heir to the throne of a kingdom he'd never asked for. Becoming the next biggest drug kingpin in New York City was never what Retro imagined for his future, and he is determined to change his own destiny. Semaj is an upcoming superstar and the daughter of New York City's biggest record producer, Jungle Feeva. Trying to balance the responsibility of recording her debut album, and trying to prove herself as an adult to her father and her very possessive uncle, Semaj is constantly facing inner turmoil and conflict. She is in desperate need of an escape from her world. When Retro learns that his father and Jungle Feeva are connected through an event of their past, Retro reaches out to the producer for a way out of the drug game. Jungle provides this, offering Retro the position as his daughter's bodyguard. When Retro and Semaj finally meet, they are immediately bonded and fight the urge to fall in love with each other. Will their very different lifestyles prove to be destructive to their newfound companionship, or will love be strong enough to keep these two together?
