Larry Dean loves flying. His love started with building model planes, then graduated to flying magazines and finally to take flying lessons.

Larry also loves women. He is unsure about Jennifer and then he meets Brenda, a welfare worker. She is compatible with his desires.

At a chance meeting at McDonald’s, Larry meets Monica, a lawyer that he finds very attractive.

His last female acquaintance is Ginger, a student at UCD who is a vegetarian and wild when it comes to sex.

All the while he is enjoying the company of these women, Larry is undergoing an unexplained transition to early airplanes beginning with the Wright Brothers and their Flyer.

Each transition occurs with the sound of a blower, Brrrr. Putt putt. There is also some kind of emotional happening with that sound. Larry doesn’t connect the two elements until after he sees a shrink and is advised to keep track of the triggers that send him back in time.

Larry not only goes back to fly different airplanes, but he also finds himself in different times and places.

Thinking about his life, Larry decides that he’s old enough to make a decision as to which of the women would make a suitable partner for his ongoing life.

He also hopes that finding the mechanism that takes him back in time and place will no longer be active now that he has the elements of the trigger mechanism.
