Great read for any sports fan!!

I have enjoyed listening to Greenberg on the radio for 30 years. His passion and perspective as a true sports fan (as opposed to retired player or unemployed coach) is so very relatable and refreshing, and that is certainly the case with this book. You will disagree with many of his assertions but you will enjoy every chapter.

Great Insight

Greeny and Hembo put a beautiful narrative together here. I’m not normally one for audio books unless I can’t afford/find them on print. Definitely worth checking out if you like sports history.

Always Fascinating

Sports is always fascinating...this is a great concise telling of many incredible stories and events.

Barbershop talk in a book!

This was a great read and the audio version complimented this fun look at some of the most iconic numbers in sports history! Can't wait to quote this book and start 100 spirited debates...who am I kidding...100 spirited arguments with friends and family! Thanks Greeny and Hembo!!

Greeny kills it. Top-notch

The narrator makes or breaks an audio book. It is a skill you either have or you don't. Greeny has it in spades. I propose that Michael Greenberg should narrate all audio books henceforth. That is all.

Brilliant and thought provoking

I’ve listened to several hundred audiobooks, and can honestly say that Mike Greenberg is exactly what he is like in real life and on camera as he is while narrating this. Very few other books, narrated by the author have ever achieved this level of authenticity. Each brief write up is thoroughly researched, thought-provoking, and does a great job of placing each athlete in his or her historical context. I’ve already listened to it four times, and I can’t wait for the next.
