  • THE SAVANNAH BANANAS - BIG DREAMS, RISKS, & REWARDS w/ EMILY COLE | Got it From My Momma | EP. 131
    Mar 31 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode of Got it From My Momma, I sit down with Emily Cole—wife, mom of three, and co-founder of the wildly successful Savannah Bananas alongside her husband, Jesse Cole (yes, the one in the iconic yellow tux!).

But behind the viral sensation and sold-out crowds is a story most people don’t see.

Emily shares what it looked like to walk through uncertainty, financial risk, and seasons where nothing was guaranteed… all while holding onto a dream that felt bigger than logic. We talk about the power of believing in something before you see it, supporting your spouse through big leaps, and raising a family grounded in purpose along the way.

We also dive into their heart for foster care and adoption through their organization, Bananas Foster, and how they’re using their platform to make a real difference.

This conversation is for anyone who’s ever wondered:
What if we actually went for it?

✨ In this episode, we talk about:

    • Taking risks when the outcome is unknown
    • The real story behind the Savannah Bananas
    • Motherhood in the middle of it all
    • Foster care, adoption, and living with purpose

  • ELLIE PEAK COLLINS | FAITH AFTER THE COVENANT SCHOOL TRAGEDY | Got it From My Momma | EP. 129
    Mar 17 2026

    Send a text

Today’s episode is a tender and meaningful one. I’m honored to sit down with Ellie Peak Collins, the daughter of Cindy Peak, who was tragically killed in the Covenant School shooting here in Nashville.
This is Ellie’s first interview, and I’m incredibly grateful for her willingness to share her heart. Our conversation is honest and raw as she talks about walking through unimaginable grief, the way her community surrounded her and her family in their darkest days, and the deep hope that continues to carry her forward.
What struck me most about Ellie is the posture of her heart. She speaks about the hope of heaven, the faith her mother lived so beautifully, and the choice she’s made not to live in bitterness, even sharing the sorrow she feels for the shooter’s family.
It’s a conversation about loss, faith, and the kind of hope that only God can provide.
I’m so honored to share this conversation with you.
