Good Man to Know

A newspaper reporter inherits a fortune from his uncle, freeing him to live any way he likes...but how? He moves to San Francisco, works his way into society and soon discovers that he has the ability and the will to help people get out of bad situations when the law and everything else fails them. It becomes his profession. Word spreads in certain circles that he is a "good man to know."
He settles into a pleasant routine until a woman he tries to help leads him into direct confrontation with Iranian spies who become highly motivated to find and kill him. To escape them he flees and encounters even new challenges from New York, to Washington to the Smokey Mountains, pitting him against the Jersey mafia, black urban gangs and a variety of alluring women who prove almost as threatening to his well-being as his lethal adversaries. He is continually plagued by the old saying, "No good deed goes unpunished."
