Great Read

Gone to the Middle was a great read by Laurie Anne Marie. Detective Nate Thompson has left his home to solve a murder. Unfortunately it was his own wife Clarissa who was killed when she was in the Midwest visiting her family. He joins with the local police force to find the person who committed the crime. He then gets dragged into the discovery of drug and jewel theft rings in the area. He learns that the dark and twisted landscape can lead back to family secrets that he may not be ready to be exposed. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Mystery

There was a lot going on and I found myself on the edge of my seat whilst I was listening. Not a fan of AI narration though.

A short fast read

This book from the start has well described characters that are interesting. The narration is great and the tones maintain your interest. You have Nate and Laura and he is constantly going out on her. you have many twists and changes in direction. I thoroughly enjoyed it beginning to the end. I am looking forward to book #2.
