Acerca de esta escucha
It’s the American dream. Starting a business, becoming successful, building and raising a family and leaving a legacy behind when your time is up. Sadly, most businesses fail long before the dream comes into fruition. Why is this? Why do businesses fail? Do we not have what it takes? Do we just give up on ourselves? Are the cards stacked against us? The answer stems from many reasons and often times is inevitable. But, there are plenty of warning signs giving us the guidance to keep our dreams alive.
I have been building businesses since I was 14 years old. I have written over a dozen books on the subject and have helped thousands of businesses over the years achieve their goals. Sadly, most of the business professionals I have worked with have gone out of business. It’s not that my advice is bad or misguiding. There are just too many things to go wrong in building a successful business in today’s environment. I can give advice to a client to fix this or fix that, but unless I am sitting the driver’s seat every step of the way, always manoeuvring the operation out of harm’s way, there’s really nothing I can do to keep a business alive if the driver is unexperienced.
They say that 95% of businesses fail within five years. And of the 5% remaining, 95% of those businesses fail in the next five years. Why is this? Again, are the people inexperienced? Are they not paying attention? Is greed a factor? Well, yes and no. Every situation is different. In this book I am going to get into the warning signs and what to do if your business is struggling or if you’re thinking about starting a new business and want a little advice before taking the plunge.
