Lack of substance

As this was for my book club, I forced myself to get past Chapter 1….but couldn’t make it past Chapter 7 because life’s too short for awful books. Empty and redundant bundle of words! I had to finish, at least, the last chapter for the book club and wasn’t surprised when the entire story was summed up at the end of the book…last chapter was only 4 pages. This is a hard pass…and again, life is too short for bad books.
