I absolutely LOVE how the characters from the book “Found” are in this one as well. It gives a sort of realism to it. This was another one of my favorites!

Love the story and how the mention of other characters from book 1 blended beautifully.

Love the story and how the description of the characters in their personalities and physical appearances helped the reader dive into the story. I love this book, as well as the first and third ( lost and Found & His Smile)from the mafia romance. With that being said,Katerina Winters is now one of my favorite authors!

Not sure about this

It was a good story. Entertaining enough to finish. Main female lead was very young and male lead trapped her knowing she had no where else to turn. Very creepy. The ending was rushed.

One of my favorite books. I’ve reread several times. Hope this author puts more of her books on audible.

The end was sudden and abrupt. I wasn't expecting it to end out of the blue.

Coercion isn’t Consent

Not for me. Sorry. I had read reviews stating that this book contained dubious consent, but that the MMC grew into an incredible character by the end, and I was in the mood for something a little dark, so I thought I’d give it a try (despite the stupid computer narration).
This wasn’t what I was looking for.

Alexei basically “rescues” the FMC from a household where she’s being verbally, financially & physically abused and forced her into a situation where she’s almost a prostitute for him.—She and her infant brother can live with him and be cared for by him, but in addition to performing her typical (paid) duties, she must now forfeit her virginity to him and let him have shmex with her whenever he wants. Yes, he at least ensures that it’s pleasurable for her physically (somewhat) but doesn’t really care if she wants it, if she’s sore, etc. And she has NO alternative. She’s practically still a child & has a baby to care for. What else are her choices? She has none. She’s being completely forced into this situation and has no control over anything. This is NOT CONSENT.
I was just not feeling this book at all. Alexei is not a good guy. At all. He’s not a complete monster, but he’s definitely not a good guy. Very disappointed.
