Nestled deep among the Whispering Woods, Eldermere was a secluded town where the trees swayed gently and fireflies glowed like little lights. This hamlet was protected by an old guardian, a monster known simply as Liora, in contrast to others. Under the moon, some said, she was a magnificent owl with feathers that shone like silver. Others said that she was a ghost that appeared as a dazzling mist that led the woodland. The village's young children were raised on tales about Liora.

It was said that if someone was lost or in need, a calming voice would guide them home over the woods. The locals trusted her presence because she protected them from the shadows that prowled the edge of the forest, even though no one had ever seen her. One evening, as the sun was setting and the sky was becoming orange and purple, a little boy called Finn ventured too far from home. The stories about Liora had always fascinated him, and he wanted to know whether she was real.
