Maxwell Glick breathes life into Pati Nagle's novella, a fantasy romance that finds the valiant and strapping Lord Praethor on a heroic quest to recover the enchanted sword Farslayer, and unexpectedly falling for the breathtaking Sylva, a squire's daughter, along the way.
Glick's accomplished, multifaceted performance brilliantly captures the magnetism between Praethor and Sylva, and he displays versatility in portrayals of the wonderfully diverse cast of characters, delivering the stentorian boom of King Nigel's voice and the soothing coo of Sylva's with equal finesse.

What would have made Glad Yule better?
It's difficult for me to comment on the story itself because the reader was just not a good match for this book. He felt stilted, like a robot trying to come off as a human. He may be a good match for other genres, but this just didn't work. I got about an hour and a half in to the 2 hour story and just had to turn it off. They story itself felt trite with overused fantasy themes and bland characters, but it may have been more bearable with a better reader.Would you recommend Glad Yule to your friends? Why or why not?
