Another thriller from Megan Abbott. High stakes academia. Deep friendship. Tied together with one twisted knot after another.

Pretty Good

I enjoyed this book, for the most part, and finished it. Was it a realistic premise? No, but since it's fiction, that's all right. The writing was solid, not literature, but the author did a good job. The pacing was fine, as well.

Too long and unbelievable

It will grab you, and I finished even when I didn't want to because I wanted to see what happened but it lacks credibility in many plot twists and isn't worth the time for me.

Excellent Glimpse into the Female Psyche

I’ve read a handful of Abbott’s books and this one was the most enjoyable, most intriguing, and most satisfying. Highly recommend.

Powerful

This book is so good that it’s almost hard to listen to in long spans. Incredibly intensive to the very end!!

A good listen but just ok story

The ending seemed to go in a bit long. It seems three times, it's ending but then it doesn't. The story was fine, but not one I would necessarily recommend for or against.

Struggled with this one
Narrator was great but the main character was a whiney girl throughout. As for the plot? Left me unfulfilled and waiting for something substantial to happen. Not for me I'm aftaid.

As a woman in stem I liked it

I enjoyed the science terms and reality of women in stem as just an assumed part of the story. I can definitely relate to some of the struggle

I give this writer my hand every time

Another riveting suspense thriller. Genius through and through. If you like Gillian Flynn you’ll like this one.

So well written you can't put it down. The end is an excellent wrap up for an in depth prospective .
