The Caroline Series began with "Halfway to Heaven: Caroline’s Story" (Book 1), which punished the guilty. Next came "Nearer to Heaven: Caroline’s Journey" (Book 2), and the self-righteous were called out. This is the finale, "Gates of Heaven: Caroline’s Adversity" (Book 3).

Eyvonne reveals how Caroline’s father laid the foundation for her to become the perfect wife, employee, mother, and friend in order to try to keep calm and order. Submissive Caroline learned early in life what the consequences were otherwise. I read all three titles. Wow, I never would've have known! Stories like this is why children need to be taught to be kind to classmates. You just don't know what someone might be going through at home. As painful as it was to read what poor Caroline had to endure throughout her life I couldn't stop listening. The last book made me cry. I'm so thankful she made it through and I hope sharing her story has helped her heal.
