Resumen del Editor

Kyla Summers has been offered the opportunity of a lifetime to get her cosplay business off the ground, and only one thing stands in her way. She needs someone to take over the auto shop, and there's only one person she can think of to call....

Jericho Salomon hasn't been back in his home town since he joined a biker gang and rode off nine years ago. When his best friend's kid sister calls begging for help, he knows that he owes the family a debt and he intends to pay. This is easier said than done once he finds that the kid is all grown up....

She needs a pair of skillful hands. He needs to keep his hands off. When sparks begin to fly, can they keep things strictly business, or will their hearts get hopelessly tangled? No more games, it's time to play for keeps.

Surprise

This book seemed to move more slowly than the other books in the series but it too has moments of excitement.

I recommend the series

This is book 3 of the Fandom Hearts series and I enjoyed it just like the first 2 books. I do recommend the series so far and will be reading the rest!

As good as the first

Game of Hearts was the best since Level Up, the first book in the series. I loved Kyla and Jericho, and I had to squeal aloud at the Cowboy Bebop reference!

Favorite so far

I’ve been both entertained and annoyed by this series. I was wondering if I should keep going. Game of Hearts (Thrones) wound up being my favorite to date, in which competent people do competent things they enjoy. There are costumes and motorcycles and joy. It’s good.

Maybe it’s least irksome because I don’t know enough about MCs to be irked by any details related to Jericho’s pasttime. Maybe it’s a fav because Jericho acts like a grown up when he comes back to town. Maybe it’s because Kyla can handle herself & knows when to use words and when to call in emotional reinforcements. Maybe because (redacted) character is a doofus who needs friends. But it’s (mostly) because it’s low angst good fun while Kyla and Jericho get along like reasonable adults who are good at building things and they keep getting along.

There are some non-cishet bit characters with absolutely nothing negative happening with or to them, so that’s also low angst.

Steam: med-low. There are M/F sexytimes on page, and blessedly no one is weird about it. Jericho does have a jealous fit and Kyla blithely shuts him down hard. It’s good stuff. It’s possible the competence and senses of self worth are the steamiest part.

Narration: Continues being pleasant. I didn’t notice as much stumbling with the place names this time, plus they cleared up the Jiminy Cricket bit I previously complained of. I’m glad I kept listening to the series.

Jay Skeleton is very hard to listen to.

Cathy Yearly writes some pretty basic love stores, but what doesn't do the books and justice is how horrible Jay Skeleton narrator of 89% of the book is. monotone throughout the whole entire book He makes this book very hard to follow and listen to without changing his voice. differentiating between all male characters you need several voices Jay Skeleton does none of this. hours of show paced dribble.

Serena St. Clair by far would have carried this book by herself no male narrator needed. That's saying something Jay. And I hope you read this. You shouldn't be proud of your work on this project.
