It's not easy being a girl. It's even harder when you're the only girl in a family of werewolves. But it's next to impossible when your very existence spells out the doom of your race.... Meet Jessica McClain - she just became part of the pack.
In the vein of Kelley Armstrong and Patricia Briggs, a new urban fantasy that rewrites the werewolf myth....

The narrator sounds too young.

There is some yummy men, there is a strong female, father-daughter, sister-brother, and some fight scenes.
So if you don't want to get into a long series, this is not a book for you, if you can't get into an book if the narrator does not fit your imagination then look else where. But if you like have lore retold in a different way then check this out.
Hope you agree and enjoy good listens:-)
I want more!!!! Audible please record 2nd book:-)

Would you listen to Full Blooded again? Why?
Probably not although I will listen to the next book in the series because I do like the story line.Did Casey Holloway do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Casey did fine with the female characters but the male characters leave a lot to be desired. I never knew which male was talking unless it was mentioned. I am hoping she gets better because as hot as some of the characters are made out to be, if I heard them actually talking like that, I would have a hard time keeping a straight face.Any additional comments?
As I mentioned, I will listen to book 2 because the story line drew me in but sometimes I just wanted to hit Jessica off the side of the head and the narration for the male charaters need to be better.Like the story but....

What did you love best about Full Blooded?
I liked the story idea. I even got into the characters and story line. But the narrator almost ruined it for me. She did a number of voices which weren't terrible but it's the way in which she read. It was as if she tried to enunciate each word....so much so it sounded stiff and mechanical. It really detracted from the whole experience. It was so bad I had this huge desire multiple times to just give up on the book because I couldn't stand this woman's mechanical way of reading. I'd love to see where this series goes next, but if they keep the same narrator I might have to rethink it awhile. Not a bad story but...

I almost stopped listening to it a couple of time since the narrator could do an accent to save her life. They all sounded similar and really robotic.
The story line was what kept me listening or I would have given up on the book completely.
Interesting Plot, Bad narrator

Where does Full Blooded rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I would say it's middle of the road. What was one of the most memorable moments of Full Blooded?
I wouldn't say there are any epic moments. When Jessica and Rourke realize they are mates it was definitely an aww moment. I guess when Jessica fought the imp, it was the first time she realized her power. What didn’t you like about Casey Holloway’s performance?
I have heard Casey on other books, BUT they were all teen related ones and I was able to deal with the stilted too slow narration. Since Jessica is supposed to be 26 it was very hard to enjoy the story read by a narrator that sounds about 15. Also her accent and voice for Rourke is very off-putting.Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
It was definitely something I could have listened to in one sitting if I had the time. Have to say again though, the book could have been read a lot quicker if they had used a different narrator.Any additional comments?
It was a decent start to a series. There was a lack of depth to Jessica's transformation though, as if suddenly it's all cool that she can turn furry and there's no learning curve involved. And the wolf seems to really accept human logic as if she is not the Id most werewolves stories use the animal as. So far everything seems a tad bit too easy for Jessica. I would like to see some internal challenges in the future, instead of the external ones.Barely got over bad narration to enjoy the story.

What did you love best about Full Blooded?
Good story. What other book might you compare Full Blooded to and why?
Silver BorneWho would you have cast as narrator instead of Casey Holloway?
Lorelei KingIf you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
??Any additional comments?
Narrator kills this story. Sounds like she was reading the story for the first time. The halting naration is really bad.Narrator Kills Story

The story itself was only okay for the first half, but by the middle of the book I was pretty into the story. I will most likely get the next book in the series, but in hard copy if they use the same narrator.
A rough start, but better towards the middle.
