Old coot

I love all of Wodehouse stories and this is very good. If you like humor don’t miss it.

Delightful and charming

No Jeeves or Wooster in sight and yet I enjoyed it greatly. These characters were less foolish and not such drains on society as Wooster and friends. I found them more likable and easier to cheer for wholeheartedly. I will always enjoy Jeeves and Wooster, but this was refreshing and fun.

not peak Wodehouse

This isn't Wodehouse at his best, but it is still better than most other writers put out!
Simon Vance does a credible job as narrator, even if I think Jonathan Cecil is the best.

the story has all the old Wodehouse contrivances; the affable but impecuneas young man about town, the unpleasant rich Lord as a villain, a fortune at stake, etc.

It lands some punches well and typical Wodehousian flairs of prose are always wonderful.

I promise you, get through the 1st chapter. it improves drastically.

Very good Wodehouse tale, excellent narration

Biff stands to inherits millions, provided he can make it to his 30th birthday without getting arrested (something he's had happen frequently up to this point). Lord Tilbury believes the money should be his, so he tries to arrange tussles with the police for poor Biff. A fun, enjoyable tale, and Simon Vance is a master narrator.

Loved every bit of this book! Mystery, romance, and silly yet relatable humor, even today!
Made me giggle so much throughout!
I was so sad for it to end! On to another Wodehouse winner!!

A delightful comedy

P.G. Wodehouse knows how to write an enjoyable read or, in this case, listen. I came across his writings years ago when I was in high school and have loved his books ever since. He used the idea of frozen assets in many different ways in this book including the inability to procure trousers! 😂

Always a Treat

Any Wodehouse story is a joy. This was fun because the characters were all new to me yet every bit as entertaining as Bertie and Jeeves or the Blandings occupants. Wodehouse has no competition when it comes to old fashioned sweet and untainted humor.
