Skylar, Mason, and the other descendants embark a deadly quest to the underworld to confront the evil Hades, who has been plotting to kill off the descendants of all the gods.
On this journey, they soon discover that the ancient gods are not dead as once believed but are held captive in a secret location. In order to save the world from destruction at the hands of Hephaestus, the descendants must set out on a crusade to rescue the gods.
In the process, Skylar learns more about her bloodline and her powers, but there is also a heavy price to pay. The darkest forces known to man are about to return to reclaim their stolen kingdom.

very rough recording
This book was hard to "read" since the reader kept repeating words and section trying to get it correct. Seems like whoever was to prof listen the book never did. The book needed to be edited to make this easier to "listen to". There are background noise like doors opening and the reader drinking water. You QA fell down on the job! I feel for the writer and reader.

Skips, coughs, background noise.
I have listened to the previous two books in this series and I am thoroughly enjoying the story, but in this volume there are lots of skips, coughs by the narrator, and I can hear page turning and pausing. To the point that I had to follow along with the text to know what was being said. That’s all in the first chapter.
