Hear writer, editor, and speaker Peggy Orenstein, rock critic Ken Tucker, and book critic Maureen Corrigan, on this edition of Fresh Air.
Peggy Orenstein has spoken about issues affecting girls and women in the past. She's also a contributing editor for The New York Times Magazine. Her article about the use of donor eggs for in vitro fertilization is in the Sunday, July 16th, edition of the magazine. Orenstein went thru six years of treatments, including egg donation, before giving birth to her daughter. She has also written the memoir Waiting for Daisy: A Tale of Two Continents, Three Religions, Five Infertility Doctors, an Oscar, an Atomic Bomb, a Romantic Night and One Woman's Quest to Become a Mother.
