Ian Katz, the features editor at the Guardian in London, and Baghdad blogger Salam Pax on this edition of Fresh Air. Katz traced and verified the identity of the Baghdad blogger for the Guardian. Salam Pax is a pseudonym - a combination of the Arabic and Latin words for peace. He began an Internet diary about life in Iraq a few months before the recent war began. It's still going on today. Peter Maass of the online magazine Slate said "Salam Pax was the Anne Frank of this war - and its Elvis." His blog entries have been collected in the forthcoming book, The Baghdad Blog.
