Shyanne Sawyer is a quiet, shy girl who graduated high school top of her class. Her ambition was to go to college and then to teach. Instead, twelve months later, she’s been found guilty of first degree murder and is awaiting sentencing. Meanwhile Milo Franks is a billionaire who is convinced that, despite being found in a locked room with a gun in her hand and a body at her feet, Shyanne is innocent. He says he doesn’t know her but he’s paying for her defense and he’s hired Dean and Steph to prove her innocence. The more they investigate, the more he seems to be involved and the higher the body count grows. They find themselves in a desperate chase to find the last witness before the killer does because, if they don’t get there first, they won’t be able to prove whether Shyanne really did shoot a stranger in cold blood or if there was a more sinister motive behind what happened to her.
