Four Nights at the Apex

Sometimes we meet an unlikely someone who, surprisingly, makes an impression that forces us to repaint the picture we created by adding features never before considered and certainly not, at one time, appreciated. My unlikely someone so influenced my predictable, conservative world view that I found myself setting aside ordinary, daily functions, just to hear more details of a life so spontaneous, so lively and so enjoyed in memory and retelling. I believe his life experience is certainly worth sharing, with permission of course, weaving truth and fiction together in a story told through the voice of Teri Kirkland, a struggling musician, who finds herself stranded in a small Minnesota town with very limited funds and fewer options. Skepticism and disappointment are soon replaced when she is befriended by her unlikely someone, an old biker. Through pictures and candid stories of an unconventional life, he fills the empty spaces adding color, contrast, vigor, and the lure of undiscovered freedom to the work-a-day picture that depicts the niche that she has long occupied.
