What’s In the Water?

I think this is one of my favorite Fly Boys books. I love the way Cavalier crumpled in when he met Jeni. A significant reason I really liked this book is the fact that Jeni admitted to being a size 18. That’s not necessarily a size that a lot of men feel attracted to, trust me I know from personal experience. Cavalier didn’t even see that. He looked at her and saw her wit, humbleness, her low self-esteem and a desire to be loved and seen. It was awesome the way Cavalier focused in on her and made her feel like she was a queen on earth. Their hesitation in telling each other about their feelings was so sweet, fortunately their deep care overcame any obstacles which made for a beautiful love story.
