The story itself, while I can't say anything was particularly bad about it, I can say I've heard better. That being said I would none the less recommend it to a friend. I found Kowal's world building to be immersive and the story exciting and even a bit nerve racking at times.
Definitely worth a listen =)

This was one of the stories from METAtropolis green. I read the first book in the series and was not impressed. I love John Scalzi, but his friends can't write. Kowal had a great story in Rip-Off called The Lady Astronaut of Mars. I then read Kiss Me Twice in a Short Novel anthology and could not finish it. This I could finish, but barely. The story is that this woman takes movies and tells stories about simple things she does on earth and sells them to people who never leave their homes. She was filming deer cross the road when the story starts. From then on it is blah, blah, blah. She slowly tries to remember what happened as she tells the story and she is extremely detailed to the point of nausea.
Skip this and skip the series.
