Finding love in unexpected places

This is book 1 of Forbidden Romance and is a standalone story. I liked how the story started out with Natalie meeting a handsome stranger and spending the night. Little did she know that they had more in common than just their chemistry. This is a love triangle with Natalie stuck in the middle. The author is a weaver of stories that captured my attention and held it until their happy ending.

Ex-Fiancé's Father

Natalie seems like she has everything, she just finished law school and it is about to be married. But just before a trip with her fiancé and his family, he openly hits on the waitress at dinner, she realizes this is not what she wants and breaks the engagement. Instead of going home, she heads out for drinks and meets a man that sparks a passion her, that leads to a wonderous night.

The next morning it quickly comes to light he is her ex's father. Now she is stuck on a boat with the man she wants to be with and his son. What will his son do when he finds out?

The narrators did a good job with the portrayal of the story.

Great listen.

I really enjoyed listening to this story. I got hooked right from the start. So good. Y'all are gonna love it too. Happy reading.

Spicy Story, But the Narration Had Issues

There were a lot of recording issues with the FMC’s narrator—background noises, volume inconsistencies—it was seriously distracting.

That aside, this might be one of the most accurate “I’m with my ex’s dad” books I’ve read because the dad is literally just an older version of his son. He could not care less that she was once engaged to his daughter (giving major Ross/Rachel ‘were we on a break?’ energy). And yeah… Daddy Dearest? Problematic as hell—hot as all get out—but so problematic. There’s also a terrible third act breakup that dropped a whole star for this book, so unnecessary.

Forbidden love is a double edged sword

Forbidden Fiancé by Ashley Sands is an amazing story. Rosalina Grace and Sebastian Gill did an amazing job with the narration, they bring the characters to life. The story is not my usual listen but I like it all the same. The story is interesting, entertaining,and fun. Natalie falls for her exs. father and then the exs. Find out and want to ruin together their lives. Well Ethan the ex-fiancée get revenge on his father and Natalie? Will they work things out? Listen to find out those questions and more.
