The worst part is that I have been a lone vampire for years now, so I have no one to watch my back. I am just easy prey to them and their beastly desires. If I can't escape, I just may become victim to those desires, and they are more than willing to huff and puff and blow my resolve away.

I love these werewolves! They're so sweet and ferocious at the same time (but not to their vamp, never to her). Quillon is my favourite. He is just so adorable! Followed by Draco, the dirty charmer and Xander, the book nerd after my own heart. Bran and Dyrk are great too. Even though this is a standalone, I'm holding out hope that they'll pop up in the other books in this series too. LOVE the narrator's voice and accents. So much better than I was imagining as I was reading it myself.

Enjoyed the book for the most part, definitely different view on wolves took some getting used to.

I made the mistake of expecting a nice nerdy fantasy fiction, and not really looking at what I was getting. I think it was during Halloween, and I was hoping for something that would be just a little spicy, but also a little scary since I'm kind of a weenie. And when I say a little spicy, I mean maybe a little bit of werewolf/vampire make out session or mayyybe some neck biting or something. wuh-ohhh...
My first red flag was the F bomb being dropped...twice... within the first little bit. Do I stop listening? No.... Because I'm a bit of a weirdo when it comes to needing closure, and knowing how a story ends...
And THEN kaBAM! Body parts are being exposed, and I was hoping profusely that my eldest didn't hear the stuff that was coming from my phone, before I had the good sense to turn the volume down, as I gaped in slack jaw disbelief. She's 21, but STILL.... awwwwkwaaaarddd....

The narrator does a really good job with accents, and emotional climate though! (I'm fairly certain, at least... I was pretty distracted by all the explicit...everything. lol
I cannot in good conscience give the story or overall more than one star each. It was so...vulgar.
BUT, I must give credit where credit is due.
I'm seriously picky with narrators, (ADHD brain) and I really hope this guy narrates some non explicit books, because he's got a lovely voice, and wonderful talent. Sigh...I need to move to Scotland. Or marry a dude who can do accents. haha!

I'm gonna get a refund, and then go listen to inspiring music on repeat, as I contemplate my life choices.
