The Plague of Eve has swept the world, killing all women, regardless of race or nationality. There are some small sanctuaries where they have survived, but they are falling one by one. The Apocalypse has finally arrived in the most unexpected way, and humanity is condemned to extinction.
Headmistress Simmons runs one of the most exclusive girls' boarding schools in the world, hidden in the remotest reaches of the Scottish Highlands. She is aware that soon there will be billions of men left in the world, and just a few hundred women, including her students, almost all of them minors. If their location is discovered, what will those desperate men do to the teenagers before infecting them with that deadly plague?

Should they protect their students at all costs, or condemn them to growing up too quickly? Can they afford to have ethical principles or do they need to be as ruthless as necessary to save the human species? Can everything really be justified for the sake of humanity?
