Enemies to lovers crossing the mythos!

In For the Love of the Gods, Rory L. Scott blends ancient mythology with modern flair in a steamy, enemies-to-lovers romance between Dominic Pluto and Rose Hades that is full of heat, tension, and surprisingly tender moments. The Roman and Greek mythology is paired so perfectly and honestly was what drew me in initially.

Dominic is tall dark and brooding, while Rose is fierce, clever, and refuses to be tamed. Their banter? Chef’s kiss. The slow-burn attraction? To die for.

Scott's world-building is fully immersive and the pacing balances plot, smolder, and character development beautifully. The story leans into its divine setting without losing the emotional heart of the romance. If you're a fan of mythology retellings, steamy forced proximity tropes, or just want to read about gods behaving very badly (in the best way), this is the book for you.

Bonus: the audiobook, narrated by Sara Brodt, adds even more depth to the characters with an expressive and emotionally charged performance. I swear I lose track of time and space when listening to anything she narrates.

Modern Gods Love ❤️

I really enjoyed this Roman/Greek god contemporary romance! The rivalry between the two sides and how fate plays a role in bringing them together is just so much fun! If you enjoyed Neon Gods, you'll love this series!

The spice is perfection and the banter is on point! Of course, the audiobook was expertly delivered by Sara Brodt! It really heightened the characters and the tension! You know I'll be finishing this series ASAP!

Everything I could have asked for in a narrator!!

I listen to a lot of audio books and it is easy for me to be put off by the “man voice” of a narrator but Sara Brodt absolutely NAILED IT! She really brought the characters to life and did the MMC justice in a way that a lot of narrators don’t. 10/10 I loved this!

Narration top notch!

The narrator's voices in this one are perfect! I love the growl she gives the MMC. Even though it is one narrator, she captures the characters so well.

The story is intriguing and complex, a true enemies to lovers story and I look forward to seeing what comes next.
