As a grieving mother, author L A Perdue learned the hard way that drug addiction comes in many forms. The most notable addictive drugs are meth and fentanyl, but she discovered that one can’t discount prescription drugs like Adderall.
In For the Love of Meghan, Perdue shares the story of her daughter, Meghan, and how her use of Adderall came with deadly consequences. From Meghan’s birth to her youth and into young adulthood, Perdue remembers the special moments of their life together. She also talks about the changes she began to see when her daughter started taking Adderall for an ADHD diagnosis. And then came Meghan’s untimely death during childbirth.
Through her research, Perdue explains how Adderall addiction is exploding in the United States and how dangerous it is to take the drug without proper medical evaluations. In this memoir, she encourages parents and newly diagnosed adult ADHD sufferers to research, ask questions, and be safe.
