In this first-of-its-kind compilation, autistics, influencers, parents, and siblings dare to unite and amplify their voices as one community. Their goal: to change the narrative around autism. Each author contributes an honest, raw account of a life changed by autism. Their struggles are not in vain. Their adversity is their advantage. They find healing through resilience and acceptance. They combat stigmas and face broken systems. With vulnerability, they share how love powers transformation.
Regardless of where you are on your journey, these stories show why you should never give in and never give up. They share how we all have something to teach and something to learn. Love changes the equation. Love is at the center of recognizing that we are all uniquely human. This anthology reflects the beauty of autism and the power of acceptance.
The mastermind behind The Autism Hero Project, Tamika Lecheé Morales, reveals that love can transform hearts and minds in this love letter to the world. Find out what these authors do...for the love of autism.
©2022 Tamika Leche Morales (P)2024 Tamika Lecheé MoralesThank you, Tamika for putting this book together so eloquently. The fact that you brought together families from ALL walks of life, ethnicities, and gender to share their most vulnerable, personal and heartfelt experiences with autism burst my heart and soul wide open! Hearing from different family members, reminded me that autism doesn’t only affect the individual, but all of their loved ones as well.
This book is beautifully raw. Not only does it open a window into their personal lives, it also becomes a hand-book with a boatload of resources right at our fingertips.
Tamika, you could have sheltered yourself and dealt with this within the confines of your inner circle, but you didn’t … you answered God’s calling over your life and are living this through with purpose.
I immediately thought of 2 Corinthians 1:3,4, “(3) All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. (4) He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.”
THANK YOU for ALL you do … THANK YOU for being the hands and feet of Jesus!
