Floating Bones

Chief Inspector Edward Wilkes is called to Hyde Park, London, where a skeleton is found at the bottom of Serpentine Lake. Eventually, another one is discovered, each found in a sunken rowboat, chained to a makeshift wooden cross. Wilkes and Smithers find themselves embroiled within an international mystery involving missing MI6 operatives, French double agents and a gold bullion robbery that occurred on New Year's Eve five years ago.
